Forgetting any relationship is never easy, especially when the relationship is emotionally attached. It becomes even more difficult when the relationship is one of love. When we separate from someone we care about, enduring that pain is not easy. A person tries their best to forget the other, but their emotions overpower them. Sometimes, they even fall into depression. The more they try to forget, the more that person keeps appearing in their mind. In such cases, the person makes mistakes they should not make. They repeatedly call and message that person, and sometimes, they even lock themselves in a room. Often, in this cycle, the person becomes addicted to substances.

Today, we are going to discuss how to handle a breakup. The first thing you need to remember is what people often do wrong after a breakup. They try to forget the person they were in a relationship with, but that’s something you should not do. You should never try to forget that person. The more you try to forget them, the more they will keep appearing in your mind. Telling your friends that you want to forget that person will only make them come back into your thoughts more often.

Some people mistakenly think that drinking will help them forget someone. But what happens is, after drinking, they pick up the phone and call or message those people with whom they want to vent their frustrations. So, don’t try to forget that person. Instead, keep yourself busy with other activities. Focus on developing new skills, like writing stories, or spend time with your family. This will help you feel better.

Many people, after a breakup, lock themselves in a room, become obsessed, and cut themselves off from the outside world. This is the biggest mistake you can make after a breakup. You should not isolate yourself. Instead, you need to spend time with your friends and family. When a person is alone, they often become distressed, irritable, and keep thinking about the things that hurt them, which can lead them to take extreme measures.

Remember, after a breakup, you should never be alone. Sometimes, people start blaming themselves after a breakup, thinking that they are the reason the other person left. They start to feel that there’s something wrong with them, while the other person seems to move on with their life. This makes them lose their self-confidence, which takes a long time to regain.

At times, a person may think that their fate is bad, and that’s why the other person left them. But you should not think this way. Instead, think that the other person's fate is bad for not being with you. After a breakup, people sometimes feel vengeful, which is entirely wrong. This mindset can ruin both their life and the life of the other person. This is why we hear news about rapes, acid attacks, murders, and suicides, as people believe that when they fall in love, they have found their whole world, and when that person is gone, their world is destroyed. They then try to ruin the life of the other person, which is absolutely wrong.

Therefore, you must accept that the person is no longer with you and that both of your lives have moved in different directions. You need to move forward with your life and give them the space to move on with theirs.
