Today, we are going to tell you a true story about a Christmas tree. This story is from 1905, during British rule in India. It takes place in a small village in the state of Gujarat, where an officer named Morgan lived. In the same village, there was a boy named Tejas.

Christmas Day story true story of Christmas tree

One day, Tejas was playing outside Morgan’s office when Morgan was preparing for Christmas, as it was the Christmas season. When Morgan saw Tejas, he felt sympathy for him, as Tejas didn’t have proper clothes to wear and didn’t even have slippers on his feet.

Ignoring his own work, Morgan gave Tejas some money and took him to the market to buy clothes. The villagers were surprised to see Morgan doing this. Morgan had a very kind heart and gave Tejas everything he needed. Afterward, Tejas returned home. Seeing this, the villagers started talking about Morgan.

Meanwhile, Morgan was searching for a Christmas tree for his celebrations, but he couldn’t find one because Christmas trees don’t grow in India, especially in a state like Gujarat.

That same day, Tejas and his father came to Morgan’s office to thank him. Morgan was still preparing for Christmas. Tejas’s father asked him, “What are you doing?” Morgan explained

This is our festival, and we celebrate it grandly, but here in India, we don’t have everything we need to celebrate it properly." He then told them about the Christmas tree. Upon hearing this, Tejas felt that Morgan had done so much for him, and he should give him a return gift. So, Tejas left the office and went in search of a Christmas tree for Morgan.

However, such trees didn’t exist in the village, so Tejas went deep into the jungle with some of his friends. After walking a long distance, they finally found a Christmas tree. But by then, it was getting dark and they were far from home. As they were carrying the small Christmas tree out of the jungle, a snake appeared and bit Tejas on the foot.

Tejas quickly rushed to Morgan’s office, carrying the Christmas tree. When Morgan saw him, he was deeply touched and thanked him from the heart. He also invited Tejas to the Christmas celebration and sent him home with chocolates. On his way home, Tejas started vomiting, and his family immediately realized that he had been bitten by a snake. They called for help.

The villagers tried to treat the snake bite using old methods, but Tejas’s condition worsened, and his chances of survival grew slimmer. When Morgan heard about this, he immediately came to Tejas’s house at 1 AM, carrying medicine with him. He took care of Tejas all night and treated him.

The villagers saw Morgan’s efforts and started to think of him as an angel. The next day, all the villagers celebrated Christmas with Morgan. Before leaving India in 1910, Morgan built a hospital for the village.

Today, the people of that village still remember Morgan, and the village is named after him, as is the hospital he built.
